GreatTogether
For donor-conceived people

Your story belongs to you.

GreatTogether helps adults meet and plan known-donor arrangements. Those choices can shape another person’s whole life. This page explains what we ask adults to protect for you—and how you can contact us without joining.

Our starting point

You should not have to protect adults from the truth of your own origins. Feelings about donor conception can be positive, difficult, mixed or change over time. No single response is expected.

Identity and origins

We encourage parents and donors to use truthful, age-appropriate language from early childhood and to preserve the donor’s identity and relevant family information. A known donor does not automatically mean a parent or promise a particular relationship.

Health and family information

Adults are asked to keep relevant medical and hereditary information current, communicate important later changes and preserve information about donor siblings where it can be shared responsibly.

Privacy and photographs

Your origin story is personal information. Adults should agree how photographs and details are shared, avoid public disclosure without appropriate consent and give your own wishes increasing weight as you grow.

Contact without a script

Contact should not force you into a predetermined relationship. Adults can make plans, but your age, comfort, questions and developing wishes should matter. Boundaries and relationships may change over time.

What adults should decide before conception

  • How the child will learn about their origins
  • Which identity, family and health records will be kept
  • How important future medical updates will be passed on
  • How donor-sibling information will be handled
  • What contact is intended—and how the child’s wishes will be heard
  • Who may receive photographs or know the child’s story
  • How records and contact routes will survive moves, separation, illness or death

You can contact us directly

You do not need an account to ask how GreatTogether handles information or to raise a concern about conduct connected to the platform. We will listen and explain what we can and cannot do.
